Bathrooms

Bathroom removal & installation

Old suite stripped out and taken away, new bathroom set out, plumbed, fitted and finished. One number for the whole job instead of chasing three trades.

Typically £2,800 – £6,500

Strip-out first, and properly

Everything comes out in order and gets capped as it goes, floor up so we can see the joists and the existing waste runs. This is where the surprises live — rotten boards, a waste with no fall on it, a previous install that was never right. Better found now than after your new suite is sitting on it. There are honest photos of a full strip-out on our work page.

First fix — the part that decides everything

Waste re-sited where the new layout needs it, feeds run, shower valve and rail tails set out to the millimetre before a single tile goes up. Get the centres wrong here and you're chasing tiles later, so we set out, check, and check again.

Second fix and finish

Suite fitted, shower and screen in, everything tested on full pressure, then sealed. We hoover up and take the old bathroom away with us.

Worth knowing

Tiling and electrics are usually part of a bathroom. We'll tell you honestly which bits we do ourselves and which need a tiler or a spark, and we're happy to work alongside your own trades if you've got them.

Common questions

How long does a full bathroom take?
Most domestic bathrooms are one to two weeks depending on size, whether tiling is involved, and what we find when the floor comes up. You get a schedule with the quote so you know which days we're in.
Do I need to buy the suite myself?
Either way works. Buying it yourself gives you exactly what you want and you see the price you're paying; let us supply it and it's one less thing to organise. We'll tell you which fittings are worth the money and which aren't.
Will I be without a toilet for two weeks?
Not usually the whole time. Where there's only one toilet in the house we plan the strip-out and the new pan fit so the gap is as short as possible — normally a day or two. Tell us up front if that matters and we'll sequence around it.
Can you do a wet room instead of a shower tray?
Yes. It's a bigger job — the floor needs forming and tanking properly, and the waste has to be right first time — so it costs more than a tray. Worth it in the right room, and we'll be straight with you if yours isn't the right room.
