Pipe work
Flow & return pipe work
Heating pipe work re-run, extended or corrected — for better circulation, a new radiator position, or because whoever did it last time slung it under the joists.
Why circulation goes wrong
Undersized pipe, too many bends, runs that sag between joists and trap air, sections that have been added to over decades until nothing flows the way it should. The symptom is usually rads that never get properly hot at the far end of the house.
How we re-pipe it
Old runs out, new copper in, notched and clipped into the joists so the boards go back down flat and there's no rattle when the heating fires. Insulated through cold sections, valved where it needs isolating later, and pressure-tested before anything gets boxed in. Photos of exactly this job are on our work page.
Plastic or copper?
Both have their place. Plastic is quicker and fine in the right spot; copper is what we'd want on anything visible, anything near heat, and anything we want to still be sound in twenty years. We'll tell you which we're proposing and why.
Worth knowing
We do the pipe work, not the boiler. We're not Gas Safe registered, so anything on the gas side — the boiler itself, gas supply, flue — needs a Gas Safe engineer. We'll say so at the quote rather than surprising you on the day.

- New runs in copper or plastic, notched and clipped properly
- Isolation valves fitted where they'll be useful later
- Insulated through cold voids and unheated spaces
